Before Commencing Forklift Work:
Day Operations:
Safety footwear, high visibility shirt or vest, sun protection if required (broad brim hat, sun screen, tinted safety glasses).
Night Operations:
Safety footwear, safety vest or shirt suitable for night work (i.e. with reflective strips).
Forklift Operators should:
- Have a current certificate to operate forklift (load shifting equipment).
- Be trained or under instruction by an authorised person.
- Be shown the forklift logbook.
- Be familiar with the manufacturer’s operational guide/owners manual.
